About me

Hello, I'm Della.

I am a counsellor working with adults and young people aged 18-25 from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.

I appreciate that reaching out for support can feel daunting, particularly if you have previously felt misunderstood, judged, or unheard. My aim is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel accepted, valued, and able to explore whatever is happening to you.

I have supported clients with a variety of challenges, including addiction, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss, identity issues, and life transitions.

I am committed to creating an inclusive and affirming therapeutic space for people from all backgrounds and identities. My aim is to provide a counselling relationship where you feel respected, understood, and accepted for who you are.

I also work with many neurodivergent clients, including those who are diagnosed and those who are exploring whether they may be neurodivergent. I recognise that neurodivergent experiences are diverse and unique. I will look to make reasonable adjustments and provide a space that is affirming, respectful, and adapted to your individual needs.

My Approach

Person-Centred Counselling

At the heart of person-centred therapy is the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding when provided with the right conditions.

I offer a therapeutic relationship based on:

  • Empathy
  • Acceptance
  • Authenticity
  • Warmth
  • Collaboration

Rather than directing the session, I go wherever you go, exploring the emotions, thoughts, experiences and situations you bring, accompanying you as you work through them in a way that feels comfortable, meaningful, and right for you.

There is no expectation to have everything figured out before you begin counselling. We can start wherever you are.
